TRAVEL SOCCER

Eastern Pike SC’s travel program is an opportunity for young athletes to play competitive soccer in an environment that provides high-quality player development with proven and consistent coaching.

The travel program promotes long-term development with an emphasis on fundamental soccer skills. In addition, the Club strives to instill in each player a love for the game, the importance of good sportsmanship, and a commitment to teamwork.  Many of our coaches are trained and licensed by U.S. Soccer and are committed to continually growing as coaches and teachers to help every young player reach their full potential.

The travel program runs year-round with both a fall and spring season.  During the fall and spring, Eastern Pike SC’s travel teams typically participate in the East Hudson Youth Soccer League in New York and compete against teams from around the Hudson Valley.

  • SPRING SEASON: Late March/early April-June
  • FALL SEASON: September-mid-November

Each season consists of approximately eight to ten games on Sunday afternoons, half of which are played at the home field located in Matamoras, Pa.

In addition to the regular fall and spring seasons, many teams choose to participate in winter leagues and tournaments throughout the year; while the most competitive teams may be selected to compete in a State Cup competition.

The travel year runs from July 1 through June 30.

THE BASICS.

Registration for the fall and spring travel seasons is $350.00 for the year.  Payment plans are available during the registration process and a limited number of hardship scholarships are available by request, through an application process.

*The registration fee does not cover the cost of additional tournaments, winter leagues, the cost of training space, professional paid trainers, or other events that a team may choose to participate in.

The required uniform is purchased separately from Capelli Sport, the Club’s official and exclusive uniform and equipment provider.  The uniform kit includes two game day jerseys, game shorts, game socks, two practice jerseys, a training jacket, training pants, and a bag.

Uniforms are usually used for two years.

The Club will be getting new uniforms for the 2025-26 year.

Players that are invited to join a team will receive a registration link and other information from the Club.  A player will have one week to commit to the team before the spot may be offered to another player.

Teams typically practice twice a week during the spring and fall seasons.  Teams will often train indoors during the winter months.

Eastern Pike SC is a registered not-for-profit organization that prides itself in keeping costs as low as possible to give all players an opportunity to play. In order to do this, participation in fundraisers is mandatory.

The EPYSC Fundraising Committee and Board of Directors will set the minimum that must be raised by each player and/or team each year to help cover costs that are not covered by the $350 registration fee.
